CLASSES What Sandy Teaches: Sandy's teaching is based on the tenets of Hatha Yoga, combined with numerous years of experience as a health professional, both in the hospital and community environments. Hatha Yoga is the main form of Yoga practised in the West. Hatha Yoga embraces the learning and practice of Patanjali's eight limbs of yoga. Part of this journey incorporates learning to have compassion and respect for others (Yamas), self-restraint (Niyamas), postures (Asanas), breathing exercises (Pranayama), sense withdrawal (Pratyahara), concentration (Dharana), meditation (Dhyana), and contemplation (Samadhi). Yoga practice also incorporates relaxation and visualisation.
